How is a Distinguished Engineer role different from a Principal Engineer?
I'm a software engineer with about 7 years of experience, in the financial sector. Most of my work is with .NET APIs and SQL Server. I'm currently working on a project involving internal employees who provide clearing services. The workflow is roughly: A user selects one or more records. They enter some additional data. They submit the request. My API validates the request, including checking permissions and whether any of the selected financial records are already pending. If validation passes,
