Project dossier

Officially killed my past SaaS projects. Combined lifetime revenue: $3.

I've developed a couple of products and am seeing a lot of products here on Reddit too. No product is unique as such; every category (say, content creation) has literally 100s of products. I wonder how to create value using software anymore. How to build something that puts you ahead of your competition by at least a few months? Or is distribution and marketing the only moat that is left there? What's your experience?
